Map of CMarZ Sample Stations

This is an interactive Google map of all samples that are part of the CMarZ program, both historical samples collected in previous years and samples collected since the program began in 2004. There are a total of almost 30,000 discrete station positions and continues to grow. The largest collections include the Continuous Plankton Recorder Survey, SAHFOS (2004-05, 2008-09) with about 19,200 stations, the Boltovskoy collection of 4,200 stations, the Ocean Research Institute, University of Tokyo (3,000) and the International Indian Ocean Expedition (1960 - 1965) with 1,548 stations.

To use the map, click on the navigation bar to zoom in and out (only the bottom 10 zoom levels show the map in satellite mode). To move around, either hold the mouse button down and drag the image to the desired view or use the arrows to move up, down, right or left. Check or uncheck the boxes in the legend to view individual collections.
